Where do you see yourself in 5, 10 years time?

Today I turned 30 in Australia and 30 tommorow in the USA.

Where do you see yourself at the age of 30?

We all have these plans at high school. You know telling your girlfriends that you will be married with 2 children by 30, own your own business or work as a manager.

Was it because 30 felt so far away?

How did 30 become the new marriage, career and baby milestone?

I mean I thought I would be married and have children but yet I am about to turn 30 and that is not the case. Married yes but not children.

Why is that?
Is it because 30 is the new 20?
Is it because our goals change over time?

If you had asked me if I would move and live in California 3 times before I turn 30, I would of said you were crazy. But yet that is exactly what happen.

So where did you see your self at 30?
Did you achieve it?
Or did you do something even better?

Well with my birthday tomorrow I know this is where I should be. Happily married to my soul mate, living abroad as a expat, amazing friends and family and seeing what the future will hold.

So where will I be when I turn 40, I ask myself ……

I know what you mean!! If someone had told me that I would move and live in Taiwan, I would have told them that they were absolutely nuts!! But that’s the best thing about life… you never know where the road will lead you!!!

    Happy 30th birthday!!
