In New York, that’s where dreams are made!

Landing in NYC is like nothing else. People everywhere, a buzz all around and tourist central.

When I was growing up the four places I always wanted to visit was Paris, London, Rome & NYC.

I first visited NYC in September 2005. I was working at summer camp and travelled around the USA. That meant 4 months apart from hubby, NYC was the place we were reuniting. It has a special place in my heart.

As we landed at 7.30am today, we landed together to celebrate my 30th birthday. A very different occasion from our last visit.

What I noticed about NYC is the amount of tourist from all over the world walking around Time Square, Empire State Building, 5th Ave and Central Park. No matter where you go there are Aussies. They are everywhere. It is like somehow Aussie attract other Aussies. They seem to hurd together. In fact NYC seem to tailor food to Aussie. We arrive at our hotel and what’s on the corner the food outlet ” Pie face” with Aussie pies, sausage rolls and lamingtons.

NYC still amazes me! It is big, bold and like nothing else. I think no matter how long you stay in NYC there are still more thing to do and see. I was standing in Time Square today thinking crickey it is huge and parts of Australia aren’t this big.

But with that said, big isn’t always better! Each destination has attractions and events that define the destination and gives it character.

So tommorow task is to find out what defines NYC and gives it character. The journey continues….
